Norwich North

Well now ive officially started my campaign for UK Youth Parliament for the Norwich North constituency. Elections will be held in February and hopefully young people in Norwich North will elect me in to UKYP again for a second term!

during the last two years I have help set up a youth council and worked on it with different councils including Broadland District Council and Norwich City Council I have also worked on the Norfolk Youth Fund and im training to be a mentor. I have won The UKYP Local Engagement Award and the Norwich Civic Award for Voluntary Service.


My Manifesto for my term will be:

Better Political education in Schools -this needs to be better to educate people in school about things that will effect them deeply in society for example the Political Parties in power and their rights and responsibilities as young people living in the Local area.

My second focus is the need for transport to be cheaper for young people. Young people and the elderly have the same reasons for why they need free/cheaper transport.Young people are the most at risk of attck on the streets of the UK free transport or cheaper transport will enable young people to be safe because they are at their most vulnerable just like the elderly.

My third focus locally would be better facilites for young people in Norfolk as well. There are less less youth clubs where young people can get involved in their community and less youth clubs which would stop the Portrayal of young people as being hoodies that are always on the streets especially they are older teens.
